We are currently recruiting for a Social Prescribing Project Lead with Ways to Wellbeing, based at York CVS. Ways to Wellbeing has been providing Social Prescribing across the City of York since 2015.

Social Prescribing empowers people to take responsibility for their own health and wellbeing by linking them to support networks and activities within the community. Ways to Wellbeing is now offering Social Prescribing to individuals accessing statutory mental health services, hospital discharge and within the Community Safety Hub. These are new and innovative areas of delivery reflect the development and growth of Social Prescribing across the city of York.

The successful candidate will have significant experience of working in the healthcare, social care or voluntary sector with vulnerable adults. They should have excellent communication skills and good organisational skills with a minimum of one year’s management experience in a similar setting.

Primary Care Links - Project Lead
  • 22.5 hrs
  • £27,730 (Pro-rata)

York CVS has been managing a Social Prescribing services since 2015, supporting people who have been referred via their GP/practice nurse or Primary Care worker. Social Prescribing empowers people to take responsibility for their own health and wellbeing by linking them to non-medical support from within the community. We take a holistic approach and provide person centred support to individuals to improve their health outcomes.

The Link Worker programme is a national initiative from NHS England and NHS Improvement. This post is a collaboration between four of the Primary Care Networks (PCN’s) in York and York CVS.

The Project Lead will work in collaboration with each PCN to deliver a coordinated and high-quality Primary Care Link Worker (PCLW) service. They will lead, supervise and support the team of PCLWs to deliver a range of wellbeing and social prescribing interventions.

The successful candidate will have significant experience of working in the healthcare, social care or voluntary sector, with vulnerable adults. They should have excellent communication skills and good organisational skills with a minimum of one year management experience in a similar setting.

Please note that this role may require occasional evening and weekend working.

Project Support Officer - Ways to Wellbeing
  • 15 hours per week
  • £18,795 (pro-rata)

We are currently recruiting a Project Support Officer to co-ordinate the administration of the Ways to Wellbeing Project.

The successful candidate will be flexible, enthusiastic and have the ability to work effectively as part of a team. They will take on a range of administrative tasks, work to reporting deadlines with excellent IT skills.

Senior Finance Consultant
  • £250 a day
  • 45 days a year (flexible)

York CVS is a social action organisation. We take steps to make positive change, challenge issues and grow new ideas which strengthen communities. We are looking for an experienced and forward thinking Finance expert to bring some strategic financial experience to the senior management team.

You will have a thorough understanding of finance in a voluntary sector organisation such as York CVS, with the ability to present information in a clear and structured way to Managers and the Board of Trustees. You will also be flexible, adaptable and approachable, able to see the big picture and advise on risks.

Knowledge and experience of Charity Law, managing multiple complex budgets and developing effective financial processes and systems to support the smooth running of an organisation is essential.

This is a freelance role with days to be agreed with the Chief Executive.
