Social Media Volunteer – Priority Rights

We are looking for an enthusiastic social media user who can help us to grow our followers, and promote human rights events organised by ourselves and other organisations in our network. You will also provide content and images that engage, inspire and inform, commenting on human rights aspects of relevant local and national news articles. An understanding of socio-economic rights in the UK would be advantageous.

We focus on local, and sometimes national, news stories that relate to York's five priority rights, which are housing, education, health & social care, equality & non-discrimination, and a decent standard of living (for example child poverty, food poverty, wage inequality, etc.). We have a presence on twitter and Facebook.
We'll shortly be publishing our latest human rights indicator report, so it would be really helpful to have the findings highlighted.

For this role, we are looking for a commitment of around 3-6 hours per week, researching, drafting and scheduling posts for our Twitter and Facebook pages.
