Inreach Volunteer Researcher

As an Inreach Volunteer Researcher you will help us provide a fee-paying research service to researchers who cannot visit our library or have a complex enquiry, helping us make our research library open for all and generate funds that further access to our collections.

Search Engine is a popular resource for many different types of researcher, from family and subject historians to media, authors, academics and cultural institutions. The ethos of Search Engine is to provide access and assistance to everyone and to facilitate use of our historically significant archive collections.
As a volunteer researcher you’ll help us do this – Inreach is a crucial resource for those who live a long way from the museum; do not have the time to conduct research or for whom a physical visit is not practical or easy. Inreach has been running successfully in Search Engine for over ten years and the team are rightly proud of the service they provide.
