Please note that, in the absence of a volunteer centre, York CVS are providing the space below for organisations to recruit volunteers and for individuals to search for local voluntary roles. York CVS has no responsibility for the recruitment process and volunteer placement with organisations.

Volunteering during COVID-19

City of York Council

Individuals can register with City of York Council (CYC) to volunteer their time for a number of roles, in-line with social distancing. These roles include: speaking to people on the telephone,registering enquiries, bringing food parcels,finding and providing information, shopping and picking up medications.

NHS Volunteer Responders

Please note that the NHS Volunteer Responders initiative paused on 24 March to allow for the processing of over 750,000 applications. More information about the scheme can be found via the GoodSAM webpage.
