The Voluntary Sector Forum brings together voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations to enable them to have an independent, strong and influential voice in the York area.
All voluntary and community organisations, faith groups and social enterprises are encouraged to attend the forum to create a meeting that is representative, has more authority and increases our influence on behalf of the sector.
Some of the themes the forum focuses on include:
- Voluntary sector funding
- Policy consultation
- Issues arising from forum members.
The forum elects people, as appropriate and when needed, to represent and speak on behalf of the sector at strategic level – Equalities Board
These representatives can be elected for a period of time to attend a series of meetings, or for on one-off occasions.
Meetings are usually held quarterly and chaired by the Chief Executive of York CVS.
Wednesday 1 February 9.30am-12pm at the Priory Street Centre, 15 Priory Street, York, YO1 6ET.
