The Association of Child Protection Professionals is a charity which has been driving improvement in child protection for nearly 40 years by working with those in the field to influence policy and practice. Our members include social workers, health professionals, teachers, police officers, and many others working in or researching child protection in the UK. We provide access to research; host quality and affordable CPD; publish our journal Child Abuse Review; and facilitate peer support.
Independent Care Group (ICG) is the recognised representative body for independent care providers (private and voluntary) in York and North Yorkshire. We provide a safe environment to access support and help to reduce isolation through a range of individual or group support packages. Victim Support (VS) is an independent charity dedicated to supporting victims of crime and traumatic incidents in England and Wales. The purpose of VS is to provide specialist help to support people to cope and recover to the point where they feel they are back on track with their lives.
The Welfare Benefits Unit offers specialist welfare benefits advice to those who work with members of the public. Please note we don’t provide advice to members of the public.
