A local children's charity based in York, The Island is currently looking to recruit a group of volunteer community fundraisers who will be able to event-manage and support us at fundraising events across York.
As a community fundraiser, you'll work alongside The Island team to generate much-needed income, so that we can continue to provide mentoring services to vulnerable children living in York. Fundraising consists (but not limited to) of talking to the public about the work we do to enhance the mental, emotional and social wellbeing of York children; performing a bucket collection; arranging fundraising events on behalf of The Island; supporting the team at charity stall events plus more.
No experience is necessary, as you will receive full guidance within your role. The position is completely flexible, however, we'd ideally love a commitment of at least six months.
Once you have started volunteering with us, you'll be given the opportunity to sign up for fully funded recognised qualifications which will provide you with the opportunity to enhance your knowledge and career prospects and aspirations.
