Place of Work The Student Centre, James College, Heslington West Campus, the University of York

Hours of Work 35 hours annualised.

Salary £20,990.73-£23,175.37 (commensurate with experience)

Key relationships Full time and part-time elected officers, Student Voice, Community team and Advice and Support colleagues, Student Support and Representation Director, CEO.

Purpose of Role

YUSU’s student voice team is focussed on working with students to get their voices heard; empowering and supporting them to make changes and shape their education through our democratic engagement and academic representation systems.

The post holder will be responsible for:
• Ensuring effective coordination and development of YUSU’s democratic functions, including elections and policy.
• The development and delivery of member-led campaigns.
• Provision of administrative and coordination support and training for Part-Time Officers and other volunteers involved in democracy and policy engagement.
