The York Ending Stigma project, led by Champions with lived experience of mental ill health, has been running for several years and achieved great things to end the stigma of mental ill health. We are very grateful for all the fantastic work achieved by the Champions and thank them for all they have done.
We are now looking to expand the work to include a focus on preventable mental ill health and the promotion of good mental health wellbeing in our city, using the principles of the Five Ways to Wellbeing. This is alongside a community action network which will aim to improve suicide prevention encompassing reducing stigma.
We would love your input into how we can best achieve this.
