Development Officer – Children, Young People and Families

The aim of the Development Officer role is to develop:

A voice for the voluntary sector

Supporting voluntary and community organisations to influence local service planning and strategic decision-making. This includes:

·        Facilitating the V0-19CE and Youth V0-19CE Networks

·        Providing regular information updates via email and this website

·        Attending, and supporting representatives from these Networks to attend, various strategic planning groups in order to represent the Sector

·        Providing an opportunity for groups to share information and to keep up to date with local and national developments

·        Promoting two-way communication between the voluntary and public sectors.

 

Sustainable voluntary and community sector

·        Providing information, advice and development support to local voluntary and community organisations.

Securing quality and consistency of provision

  • Supporting groups to meet legal and statutory requirements, as laid out by the YorOK Community
  • Providing support and information to groups looking at undertaking other Quality Assurance Frameworks.


The post is funded by the Children’s Fund and the Children’s Workforce Development Council (CWDC).
