North Yorkshire County Council is seeking your views on the key issues that affect people’s health and well-being in the County. This information will contribute to the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment for the County, which in turn will inform the strategic direction of the Health and Wellbeing Board. It is an important opportunity to influence how health and care services will be planned in future.
8,500 young people had participated in the scheme, which offers six-week summer volunteering placements to 15 and 16-year-olds. Several charities involved in the pilot scheme told Third Sector in July that they had struggled to recruit teenagers, the scheme was too expensive and it diverted resources from more useful youth volunteering initiatives.
