Membership
Who can
join?
Membership is open to any local voluntary group which complies
with the aims and objectives of York CVS.
York CVS offers a range of services aimed at helping local
voluntary groups to work more effectively. CVS services and
facilities are available free wherever possible, or if we must
make a charge, we aim to keep costs as low as we can. Although
you do not have to be a member to use CVS services, membership
offers the following benefits:
- Voluntary Voice - the York CVS newsletter
(10 issues per year)
- Discounts on some CVS services, training
and some room hire.
- The right to nominate members of the
Board of Trustees and vote at the AGM
- Input into the work of the CVS, and its
policy, through membership meetings
- Demonstrates your support for the CVS,
viewed by many public bodies as the 'voice' of the
voluntary sector in York
- Strengthens the power of voluntary and
community groups in our negotiations with those agencies
- Enables you to join in 'common cause'
with other like-minded organisations in the city
Please contact York CVS for an
information pack and application form.
York CVS Membership rates:
Voluntary Groups - £15 - £25 per year depending on the
