Laptop Loan Scheme / Equipment Hire
York CVS has a laptop loan scheme, funded by the North Yorkshire Learning and Skills Council. Up to five laptops can be borrowed free of charge for a maximum of four weeks at a time.
The Dell Latitude C640 computers run Microsoft XP Pro and have the Microsoft Office package, FrontPage web design programme and the fundraising software Apply Yourself pre-loaded.
The laptops are available to community groups or individuals undertaking community work, associated research or training programmes relevant to their work in the voluntary sector. To borrow a laptop, all you need is a form of personal identification (driving licence, passport etc.,) and a £75 deposit, which is refundable.
In addition to the laptops, York CVS has a range of audio-visual equipment and display boards for hire.
