York CVS offers a bespoke HR advice service that will ensure your organisation’s HR is in great health, offering advice on all HR and employment issues

Lisa is accredited by the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development) and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in HR Management.

How can I benefit from York CVS's HR service?

The York CVS HR Advice service can help with any aspect of recruiting and managing staff and/or volunteers, while ensuring that you are meeting your contractual and statutory obligations under the raft of employment legislation.

The service can help you put the basic essentials in place, such as contracts of employment, staff handbooks, policies and procedures etc., right through to handling more complex issues such as managing organisational change (i.e. restructuring and redundancy), absence and performance management, grievances and discipline investigations. We can help you run a recruitment and selection process, including reviewing your pay and grading system, or can help to develop specific training on people management issues for managers and trustees. Whatever the issue, we can help.

How much does it cost?

Advice rates are charged as follows (+ VAT):

  • £39 per hour
  • A 10 hour ‘bundle’ can be purchased for £360

If you anticipate needing more than 10 hours of support in one year, then please discuss this with Lisa.
