ICT Strategy for Voluntary Sector Leaders
Date:
Wednesday 25 January, 2012. 9:30am - 4:00pm
Location:
Priory Street Centre, York Do you feel overwhelmed by information?
- Do you feel you haven't got the time to work out new procedures?
- Do you feel others are in control of the technology?
- Do you think new technology could be useful but you do not know enough about it?
Then our ICT strategy workshop is for you!
Based on standard business techniques - adapted for the sector, our starting point is the mission of the organisation.
We consider that mission from the point of view of the clients, the funders and ongoing learning and improvement – so that we can identify the key internal processes at which you must excel to deliver the mission effectively.
Once those are identified, we can consider how ICT can be applied to make them more effective.
One key technological area nowadays is social media but we consider how all forms of ICT could be used to benefit the organisation.
Using ICT inevitably leads to change and that is threatening for staff and other stakeholders. Therefore the process deals with how their commitment can be achieved.
On completion of your ICT planning workshop you and your organisation will have:
- A better understanding of how ICT can work for you Increased efficiency within your organisation
- A process to develop an ICT strategy that works for your organisation and
- An ICT business plan that can be used for future funding bids.
