How to find us
York CVS is located in the heart of York, within the city walls, and is minutes away from the train station and local bus services. It is located in the Priory Street Centre, an office space, conference and meeting venue, administered by York CVS.
York is well served with rail, air and road transport links. The main East Coast rail line provides an almost hourly service from London Kings Cross and the northern route goes through to Edinburgh and beyond. There are also good public transport links from Manchester in the west and Hull in the east.
Train
Fast and frequent rail services take as little as 1 hour 52 minutes from London Kings Cross and some 2.5 hours from Edinburgh. Manchester and Birmingham are also direct.
When you arrive by train, exit York Railway Station and turn right up Queen Street (the City Walls will be on your left). Turn left at the first set of traffic lights (the junction of Queen Street and Blossom Street) and go through Micklegate Bar (the gate through the City Walls). Turn right at the Priory pub onto Priory Street. Priory Street Centre is located on the left.
Buses
Leaflets on bus services are available from National Express (Tel. 0990 808080). National buses drop off passengers in Rougier Street (off Micklegate). Arriving by bus - head in the opposite direction from the City Wall and turn right onto Micklegate. Go up the hill and Priory Street is on the left.
Car
Although not directly on the motorway network, York is only 20 minutes drive from the A1-M1 link road, which gives fast road access South to London (M1), West to Manchester and Liverpool (M62) and North to Teeside / Tyneside and Scotland (A1). The East coast port of Kingston upon Hull is about an hour away.
