Could you be a Sportmaker?

Pro-active and passionate volunteers are being sought for a sport-themed project which launches in September 2011.

Sportmakers, which is being run by North Yorkshire Sport, sets out to connect eager participants across the county with relevant sporting opportunities on a national basis.

It forms part of a scheme led by Sport England, the British Olympic Association and the British Paralympic Association to recruit, train and deploy 40,000 new volunteers. The project is geared towards volunteers aged 16 and over and aims to increase participation in sport over a two-year period.
