Avalon Freedom- volunteer whilst on holiday!
Avalon Freedom provides supported holidays for adults who need additional support to travel due to health or disability; volunteer Holiday Supporters help provide companionship and enabling support for holidaymakers, with all holiday costs and expenses covered. Holidays can last from a couple of days to a week, and range from country cottage breaks to sunshine in Spain!
Previous experience of supporting people is preferable but not essential and full training will be provided; anyone over the age of 18 can volunteer, from any walk of life, subject to satisfactory reference and CRB checks.
For those interested in getting involved Avalon Freedom are holding an Awareness Day on 25 Feb at the Cedar Court Hotel in Harrogate; please let Avalon staff (contact details below) know if you'd like to attend.
As well as Holiday Supporters they are also looking for Tour Leaders, who can actually be paid for leading holidays.
